Apologies for the late delivery of packs tonight, but this was on account of the further restrictions coming into place at 12 tonight. Stay safe everyone!

Over the next few weeks, we will be communicating with your through a number of way.

The current blog will remain in operation but we will be working mainly on the Rainbow Room Padlet @ https://padlet.com/rainbowroomsnetns/wuajuispsn8t.

The app can be downloaded onto your phone and you simply login.

The padlet will enable us as a school community to support the children in their learning whilst encouraging them to communicate with others during this home schooling period.

All children will be receiving their work packs over the weekend or in the post next week.  The children who use workbooks will just receive art resources and the children who do not use workbooks will also get worksheets resources.

Each week we will be putting up an art lesson for the children to participate in and if possible the childrens' work could be shared on the padlet.  The art lessons are numbered 1-6.  We will have the first lesson - (Number 1) available next Thursday on the blog/padlet.

Also we will be putting up daily or weekly challenges on the padlet to keep learning active and fun whilst at home, so don't forget to check for updates. The children can then post how they get on with the challenges by taking a photograph of themselves doing the challenge, or leaving a voice mail, or writing a text message or indeed drawing a little picture themselves.

For the children who will get two work packs.

  • For the children that work from worksheets.  There is a substantial amount of worksheets within the pack, but we would ask you as parents, to not feel overwhelmed by the amount of worksheets. These have simply been given to you to offer you some work for your child but please do not feel obliged to get them all done.
  • The children can work at their own pace working through the worksheets within the packs.

Finally, the school have also sent up an online learning centre which will have lots of useful websites that are educational and fun for the children to access, so check Weebly for weekly updates. The link for this has been sent already by text message - http://www.navanetnslearning.weebly.com/rainbow-rooms.htlm

We hope this is of some assistance to you.
Patricia, Colin and Sinead.

A big happy birthday to Jack who is 5 today.

Lá Glas inniú. Lots of children wore green today. We really enjoyed the singing at the concert this morning and made some lovely hats for St. Patricks Day.

Last week we read the story The Rainbow Fish and we made our own Rainbow Fish.

Always busy even on the break times....these children just keep going from going on the see-saw, cycling on the bicycles to spinning hula hoops.

Damhsa mór sa halla. Dancing with Junior Infants and our buddies from 6th class for Seachtain na Gaeilge.
