Look back on the week
8th May 2020
Another great start to the week. We hope that everyone enjoyed the fabulous weather over the May Bank Holiday weekend and got to enjoy having fun with their families. Even though there was a Bank Holiday Monday, the children were able to keep active at home, by doing Football Coach Noreen's video.Skittles Rainbow
The children were enthusiastic doing their science experiment on Tuesday. All the children did very well making their wonderful colourful rainbows, which they were all amazed and delighted with. They all found it very easy to do and the only part of this experience that the children found particularly tricky, was not eating the skittles during it!!! I think we can all agree, the best part of the experiment was getting to eat the skittles afterwards. YUMMY!!!Fun Fine Motor Activities
On Wednesday, the children had very busy fingers. They enjoyed doing all the fine motor activities. They were cutting playdough with scissors, working on their pincher grip using the pasta and cereal, strengthening their fingers pulling the playdough, working on their eye and hand co-ordination tracing patterns in the flour and got better using tweezers for taking objects out of water. Phew!!! what busy fingers indeed!!Butterfly Art
Thursday was Art day, so we all took out our Art pack 4 for this weeks' lesson. The children were all busy making their beautiful butterflies. First they had to trace and cut out their handprints for the wings. Then they had to cut the butterflies oval shaped body out and finally they had to stick all the parts together. WOW, they all look terrific!!
Fun with Maths - Length
On Friday, it was time for the last challenge of the week. The children were challenged to learn all about length around their homes. They first had to cut out their own hand and foot prints, then they used them to measure objects, themselves and rooms in their house. Great measuring!!!
REMEMBER !!!
Don't throw out your hand prints.....we will be using these again next week for Number Fun
